Smackdown!!!

It was an interesting night. Six single guys discussing marriage, their hopes, their dreams, their expectations. Two, count them,... one, two solid hours of grueling action. On marriage.

As promised, I put Paul in his place.

CYA Smackdown!!!

Oh, I bet some people were wishing they were a fly on the wall, last Friday night.

You just don't want to miss those ringside seats. Fridays at 7pm. Be there.

Things are progressing along finely

It's been a while since I've updated the blog.

The move to Friday nights appears to be a boon for the group, and so I think that we'll continue meeting on Friday nights.

Last Friday's meeting was well attended, and some very good theological and not-so-theological discussions ensued but during the meeting, and at meal afterwards (thanks to our lovely and gracious host Erin, for allowing a crowd of us to meet a her place). So sample topics were "How do we live a virtuous life?" and "Manny being Manny, and the trade; Was it necessary?" It's fun for kids of all ages.

On August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption, and we're going to gather together afterward at O'Conners, which is the place we meet for special occasions. I'll need a head count to make reservations, so please let me know if you can make it. BTW, they have the best fish-n-chips around.

I'll need to check the schedule, but we may go to Mass, fulfilling our holy day of obligation rather than hold the meeting. I'll get back to you later on that.
