International Fair at Overlook Farm

This Saturday and Sunday (6/24 and 6/25), the folks at Overlook Farm in Rutland will be holding an International Fair. It looks like fun, with lots of folk entertainment and farm-themed displays. For more information check out this link: International Fair .

Christine Lavallee, who has been a faithful attendee of OLGCYA asked me to let you know about this event. For more info on Heifer International, check out www.heifer.org. I may go on Saturday, weather permitting.

6/22/06

The meeting last night went well. We had some good discussion about this Sunday's readings, and went out to the Finder's Pub afterwards. I got some cool shots with my cameraphone, which I posted below. Sean and I split an order of Frog's Legs. You know what? They really do taste like chicken. Now that that's out of the way, I can say I have had frog's legs and move on.

Thanks to everybody who came and made the night fun.

Second Meeting

We had our first meeting last week and things went great. We had eleven people, and most of us went out for food afterwards. It was really encouraging to see so many people interested. Viva Catholic community in Worcester!

Our second meeting is tonight (6/22/06). Keep in mind that weekly attendance is not compulsory. Drop in when you have time and check us out. We'd love to see ya.

First Meeting

We're meeting for the first time tonight. The location is pretty straightforward, I just wanted to let you guys know what to do when you get to the church. When you drive in there are two light blue doors facing the side parking lot. Go in the one on the left (the other one will be locked) and go downstairs. Father Ken, the pastor at O.L. of Good Counsel, is letting us use a little area with some couches and recliners that has been used in the past for families who need temporary housing. So it should be homey, if not very chic. We'll have to bring the chic with us.

See you tonight!
